Janie here - it's February half term and we are struggling to get out on our bikes. Both our businesses are full this week so it's a case of trying to squeeze in the odd hour here and there. Thankfully we both go to aerocycling classes at Polkyth leisure centre and can work up a sweat on their bikes when it's dark outside. We certainly take our hats off to true athletes - the time and dedication they put in to be world class must totally take over their lives.

We've been on Radio Cornwall 3 times now, last was on Emma Lloyd's afternoon show and I took my little boy Jake, who's 7. He was so excited and is convinced he is a superstar!

Pat's working hard with fund raising and we spent the afternoon at Exposwest courtesy of the Visit Cornwall stand convincing the Cornish trade exhibitors that they were pleased to support our efforts and were very pleased with their generosity. Special thanks to Colin and Pauline Dyer for offering to donate their Cornish water for the duration of our trip. People have been so kind - a Mrs Liddicoat phoned me from St Ewe and wished us well, she's 78 and has cycled all over Cornwall through her life. Thanks also to Ged, my chiropractor who gave me some acupuncture last week and he knows I can't stand needles!

We managed a 40 mile ride last Sunday and both felt good - even came back in the dark and a near miss brought home to us how important it is to have bright lights on your bikes as cars take very little notice of you.

Also many thanks to Matt Gilbert, MD of VW Indian Queens for laoning us a VW Sharan for the duration of our trip. He is also letting us have a new VW Fox car at a low price so we can use it as a big raffle prize - look our for the 'End to End' car. We're leaving on 7th April and Bishop Bill is going to send us off from the cathedral with a blessing. Love to see you there.
